Marketing Manager 

Job Description:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for overall company communications and lead generation in a business-to-business market. This role manages integrated initiatives that include search engine marketing, print advertising, industry tradeshows and events, public relations, analyst relations, customer marketing initiatives (newsletters, online training, customer excellence program, customer advisory board, etc.), collateral and website content creation (product brochures, case studies, white papers, etc.), and other duties as is necessary. This position will work closely with sales, consultant and product management groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage search engine and lead conversion optimization
  • Create, execute and track lead generation campaigns, including the creation of fulfillment materials, e-newsletters, industry events, and report results
  • Create, maintain, and distribute sales collateral (customer case studies, product brochures, product and trial CD’s, technical whitepapers, presentations, etc.) including copywriting and desktop publishing as needed (and managing outside contractors)
  • Develop or manage the development of pre-sales multimedia tools such as Flash-based demonstrations
  • Manage tradeshow and event schedule, including booth, messaging and event logistics
  • Run ongoing webinar and other online and offline communication programs, including working with analysts, partners, and customers to deliver targeted messaging
  • Develop and track budget for marketing program-related activities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum four years of enterprise software marketing communications and lead generation experience
  • Strong technical skills; must be able to grasp a deep understanding of highly technical, robust products
  • Desire to work in a small company environment with hands-on responsibility
  • Self directed team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong copywriting and verbal communication skills
  • Experience creating and delivering communications for both print and online environments
  • Experience creating and tracking effective marketing programs that drive qualified leads into the sales pipeline
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • PowerPoint: Intermediate to advanced user
  • Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Flash and other creative applications is preferred
  • Basic HTML knowledge a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com a plus
  • Familiarity with “Business Process Management” or related markets a plus
