IGRAFX® ANNOUNCES SIGNIFICANT ENHANCEMENTS TO SUPPORT ENTERPRISE CLASS BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYSIS IN IGRAFX 2006

New features improve Lean modeling, simulate SOA message data, and expand an organization's ability to achieve process excellence, compliance and IT governance

Tualatin , OR . - January 11, 2006 - iGrafx®, a leading provider of Business Process Analysis solutions, announced the availability of the 2006 version of its popular iGrafx family of solutions for process excellence. iGrafx 2006 enhances the iGrafx modeling and simulation capabilities to better support corporate process excellence initiatives. iGrafx 2006 also added significant improvements through a tighter integration with iGrafx Enterprise Central, its strategic enterprise modeling and repository solution introduced on October 24 th , 2005 . iGrafx 2006 provides teams a user-friendly, collaborative environment to easily model, analyze and improve critical business processes. With iGrafx, users can better understand and improve processes in Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) where messages communicate information across process and organizational boundaries. Customers striving to be Lean can analyze multi-level Value Stream maps and base diagrams on Excel data. By leveraging the integration to iGrafx Enterprise Central, iGrafx 2006 also allows users the ability to understand the impact of change on other departments and support compliance and governance initiatives by defining and aligning critical enterprise elements of the strategy model, IT architecture, control model and risk catalog.

•  Improved Lean Support : iGrafx 2006 offers great new features for Lean users including the ability to model distance; edit, analyze, and distribute Value Stream data in Excel format; build project plans with kaizen information from VSM maps; and build multi-level Value Stream Maps.

•  Enhanced Simulation Capabilities: iGrafx 2006 allows users to support SOA environments by modeling messages between processes or pools, simulating the data sent and received from services, partners or processes, and executing a "Fault" if a message is not received. Additional simulation enhancements include simulating "pull" processes, enabling improved pause point and monitor indicators, and the ability to use string and array attributes in simulation scenarios.

•  Enable Improved Enterprise Modeling and Management: iGrafx 2006 combined with iGrafx Enterprise Central now offers a comprehensive solution to support process excellence across all levels of the organization. With iGrafx 2006, users can define risks and key performance indicators associated with the strategy, goals, and requirements of the organizations as outlined by their enterprise architecture. When combined with Enterprise Central, users can also link process steps with defined strategies, identify which process steps activate defined business rules, and deliver a comprehensive view of the business by modeling all elements of the business. Enterprise Central also delivers extensive reporting capabilities from risk and measurement scorecards, comprehensive matrix reporting and impact and gap analysis.
