BPEL
Business Process Execution Language

iGrafx® BPEL interface is an extension for any of the iGrafx process modeling clients and is designed for IT departments deploying business processes in an execution environment. This solution enables companies to document, improve and deploy key business processes in their execution system of choice.

Features

  • Looping
  • Message Send & Receive
  • Decisions
  • Fault Handling
  • Message Mapping
  • Create Execution-Ready BPEL
  • Validate Models for Compliant BPEL
  • Convert Existing Process Maps to BPEL
  • Automatic WSDL Generation

XPDL
XML Process Definition Language

Like iGrafx® BPEL, iGrafx® XPDL export is designed for IT departments deploying business processes to an execution environment or workflow tool. XPDL contains elements describing the position of activity shapes in process maps as well as the coordinates of points along the lines that link those activities. This distinguishes XPDL from BPEL which is also a process definition format, but BPEL focuses exclusively on the executable aspects of the process. BPEL does not contain elements to represent the graphical aspects of a process diagram.

XML
Extensible Markup Language

XML is a general-purpose markup language that can be exported from iGrafx models and imported to iGrafx to create models. XML can be used to interchange data across different information systems including web services and process execution environments. Because iGrafx XML files contain all data associated with a model, it's possible to round-trip (export and then import) iGrafx XML files without loss of data. The iGrafx XML schema defines the names, allowable hierarchy, and meanings of the elements and attributes of XML files.
