iGrafx Enterprise Modeler Workshop Summary

This workshop is designed to shorten the learning curve and ensure effective usage of iGrafx Enterprise Modeler in organizations. It supplies you with the skills and knowledge to make iGrafx Enterprise Modeler work for you and your organization. This workshop introduces use of Enterprise Modeler to create enterprise data objects and relationships, and teaches students how to report on enterprise data.

The course material is divided into topics of discussion. During the lecture/discussion portion of each topic, students replicate the instructor's examples on their own computers.

Course Outline

Topic 1: Introduction to iGrafx

The iGrafx solution, including common windowing, toolbars, Help system, and other features are introduced.

Topic 2: Creating Objects in Enterprise Modeler

An Enterprise Model uses objects to describe your Enterprise, including the Process Architecture, Strategies, Resources, Risks, Controls, and more. This topic covers configuring your model, creating enterprise objects and relationships, and how to make portions of your model available to Process Central users. This topic assumes that the student will learn how these objects are used in Process Central by taking the appropriate portion of the Process Central training.

Topic 3: Enterprise Analysis and Reporting

After you have created an enterprise model, and potentially also after graphical modeler client users have used enterprise data and made relationships (such as risks, measurements, RACI, etc.), you are ready to analyze and report on the state of your enterprise. Enterprise Modeler provides powerful reporting and analysis tools, and the student will learn how to perform Architectural and organizational diagramming as well as Impact, RACI, Risk and Performance analysis, and more.

Additional Information

If the student wishes to understand how Enterprise data will be used by other iGrafx user communities, they should also take the iGrafx Process Central training in which students are taught how to use Enterprise Data through a Process Central repository with iGrafx graphical client tools such as FlowCharter.
