#bestbpmplatform: Workflow and Risk Matrix for Sustainable Risk Identification

Capturing risks is only the start. How many times have you documented and recorded a Risk or Opportunity yourself and then….?  Yes, that is the question, what follows?  If documentation alone remains the goal, you have not won much. That is why, in addition to the mere recording, a consistent conclusion and appropriate measure is also important. In this way, steady development is created, and one does not remain at a standstill. That’s why we developed ROPE.

ROPE stands for Risk & Opportunity Process Excellence.  This means that risks can not only be recorded but can also be directly evaluated and monitored with a tailor-made workflow. This enables the generation of a suitable measure and, ultimately, a sustainable company-wide risk identification.

Tailor-made workflows and monitoring of individual measures

Workflow-based risk submission can be used to leverage the company’s swarm intelligence, as all employees participate in identifying risks. The risk manager can now assess the risk and place it in the global process landscape. From this point on, the monitoring of risks starts and facilitates the preparation of the necessary control measures.

With an automatically generated risk matrix, it becomes easier to identify the impact of risk on any respective process. Measures can be created and monitored in the process, which is also linked to the risk. Using this information, a gap analysis can be created, and at the same time the ability to track whether control measures are effective. In short: extensive risk reporting.

Since workflow-based risk management clearly shows which activities require attention and which processes could be automated, strategic decisions also become much easier. By optimizing and controlling the core processes and automating them, it is ensured that all processes are compliant throughout the company.

What is the result?  We move from mere documentation to positive development and are optimally gearing up for the future, and thus also we are going through a Digital Transformation.
