3 Key Questions Answered by… Jesús Pérez

We’re happy to interview Jesús Pérez, CEO Strategic & Starting Projects at our Spanish partner Scwuimac! in our Series: “3 Key Questions Answered by…”. Scwuimac! joined the iGrafx Partner Network in March 2020. We took the opportunity to ask Jesús about a very current and innovative topic namley: the relationship between the digital economy and the green economy. Are they both compatible?

1) Can you tell us a bit about the work of Scwuimac! ?

Scwuimac! is moving between two worlds, the digital world made by humans and the earthly world inhabited by humans. We are constantly forming new technologies, processes and new business models to deliver our customers with valuable proposals based on projects adapted to their complexity. Currently, we are focusing on preparing the companies that are trust our model based in “Business by Projects” towards the new factories 4.0 or 5.0, which is always linked to the life-cycle (every firm have their own methods). We are experts in accommodating and adapting the project into the company (not the other way around).

2) What is your opinion on the relationship between the digital economy and the green economy?

Both terms are indivisible actually. The green economy has similar baseline consumption saving, in terms of energy, logistic costs and costs direct derived by transports elements. The majority of these costs (not only in cash, but also in emissions and loss of quality life) can be changed by digital costs (more efficient and less damaging for the environment). The good news is that there are great opportunities to implement the necessary changes (next-generation founds), the bad news is that it´s possible we were too late.

3) How important is project management for successful digitalization projects?

Is the only way that we see to implement them. We were founded 8 years ago with the goal of showing that there was another way to improve the core business of firms, using project management in the correct way, by aligning the project management approach of the customer and Scuimac!. The risks that appear in a digital implementation are less and more specifically less dangers using Business by Projects.
